The mission of the College of Education at Mississippi State

Name: Elva Kaye Lance
What are your hobbies?
Well, of course, music is my passion. I enjoy making music and listening to others make music. I enjoy reading books of all kinds, but I especially like mysteries. I also enjoy traveling and meeting people.
Describe your family:
I am married to Kent Payne, an MSU faculty member who retired after thirty years of service at the university. I have a twenty-eight year old daughter, Dana, who lives in Miami, Florida. For four years, she worked as a model in the fashion industry in Europe where she met her husband. They returned to the US and located in Miami, Florida. Her husband continues to work in the fashion industry. Dana graduated in accounting from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, in 2006 with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She was named the 2006 Outstanding Graduate in the School of Business. She works as an accountant with Grant Thornton LLP in Miami, Florida. ...more>>
