Welcome
The School of Human Sciences provides education, research, and outreach programs related to human interaction and relationships, early childhood, child life, youth, adult and family studies and teacher education in Family and Consumer Sciences and Agricultural Education. In addition, selected School programs focus on commerce, marketing and using technology for problem solving and designing programs and projects. In the Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising (ATM) program, students gain an understanding of the fashion and textile industries, apparel design, consumer behavior, product knowledge, and business principles. Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) students focus on an interdisciplinary approach to the study of children, youth and families. The Agricultural and Information Science and Education (AISE) degrees provide students with an understanding of the science of assisting others to learn how to access, analyze, apply and amend information to solve problems of agriculture. The Agricultural and Extension Education graduate degrees provide an individual with options to: teach agricultural education, be a leader in extension, industry, or government agencies, or develop other leadership positions in agriculture through individual research and program study skills.
