●  Dr. Jeff Eells was awarded the Sigma Xi New Investigator Research Award, Mississippi State University Chapter -- April 2008

●  Dr. Jan Chambers was elected by the Council of Graduate Schools as an exemplar of how graduate education has contributed to the public good, featured in the publication "Graduate Education and the Public Good" -- April 2008

●  Mr. Keith Davis was awarded the Staff Research Award by the Mississippi State University Office of Research and Economic Development -- April 2008

●  Dr. Matt Ross was awarded the Faculty Research Award by the Mississippi State University Office of Research and Economic Development -- April 2008

●  Dr. Toshio Narahashi (EAC member) was awarded the Distinguished Toxicology Scholar Award at the 47th Annual Meeting of the Society of Toxicology -- March 2008

●  Dr. Jan Chambers was elected to be a Member of the Human Studies Review Board of the United States Environmental Protection Agency -- March 2008 - March 2011

●  Dr. Bob Wills was awarded the 2007 Deans Pegasus Award for Research from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University -- November 2007.

●  Dr. Jan Chambers (Dr. Jeff Gearhart, PI, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base) received a DoD/Defense Threat Reduction Act grant award for $843,763 -- September 2007.

●  CVM Research Scholar Day, August 23--CEHS staff and graduate students that participated with talks and posters were: Jessica Carlsen, Patrick Crittenden (2nd place-Poster Presentations-Graduate Students), Mary Beth Dail (3rd Place-Oral Presentations-Graduate Students), Keith Davis, Kim Davis, Talisha Moore (Honorable Mention-Poster Presentations-Graduate Students) and Josiah Wilcots.
