● Establish a center with a focus in environmental health sciences.
● Investigate mechanisms of disease relevant to populations in Mississippi.
● Support independent but interactive basic research projects.
● Mentor these faculty toward competitiveness.
● Establish research resources cores to support research projects.
● Develop a cohesive team of scientists and position them for
competition for a Program Project Grant from NIEHS.
● Develop individual junior faculty expertise and credibility for individual success.
● Add an additional faculty member.
