I am currently on the population dynamics of the endangered Hyacinth Macaw in central Brazil. To date, most of the breeding ecology is known from populations in the Pantanal. However, another relatively large population exists, in the cerrado region of Brazil. Together with my colleagues, Dr. Carl Johansson (Fresno City College), Dr. Nelson da Silva and Sandro Castro (Catholic University of Goias, Brazil). This project has only been initiated in 2004.
