WEED SCIENCE
Weed Science is the study of weeds and their control. Emphasis is placed on
understanding weed biology and ecology, integration of weed control techniques
into a system approach, and maintaining and/or improving the environment
through sound weed management principles. Housed in the Department of
Plant and Soil Sciences, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees
are offered in Weed Science. Weed Science jointly participates in the
Agricultural Pest Management
degree program with
Entomology and
Plant Pathology.
