Greg Bentley received his B.A. and M.A. from California State University, Fresno, and he earned his Ph.D at the University of California at Davis. He joined the English Department at Mississippi State in 1986. His areas of specialization include Renaissance literature, particularly Shakespeare, and modern and contemporary drama. In addition to the publication of his book, Shakespeare and the New Disease (Peter Lang, 1986), he has published articles in Explorations in Renaissance Culture, Hamlet Studies, Literature and Film Quarterly, ELN, and others.
