Atmospheric Sciences Programs
The
Department of Geosciences has long been known for
its programs in Broadcast Meteorology, but we also
offer a B.S. concentration in Professional
Meteorology for those students not interested in
broadcast media.
Our
graduate students have the option of a non-thesis
M.S. in Broadcast Meteorology or a traditional
thesis-track option with a more flexible course
schedule. Our thesis students usually
specialize in applied meteorology or climatology.
Finally, our new Ph.D. program in Earth &
Atmospheric Sciences offers students the chance to
focus on research at the doctoral level.
Graduate student research can vary widely across
meteorology, climatology, and related fields, but
the emphasis is on new, innovative results and
methods.
