* Academic advising is a two-way interaction between advisee and advisor. The advisee is responsible for sharing academic goals, priorities, problems and questions with the advisor to obtain the greatest benefit. Talk with one of our advisors when questions arise regarding a specific class's applicability or conflict with previously earned course credits.
* UND students are responsible for making an appointment with one of the academic advisors in the Advising Center during the pre-registration advising period each semester, as well as any time academic concerns occur.
* Students are responsible for checking and completing course prerequisites and for having transfer work sent to the university. Students are also responsible for arranging a schedule balanced between MWF and TTH classes by the last day of phone registration as published in the Master Schedule.
* Students are responsible for attendance and course work from the first day classes begin each semester rather than the first day a student adds a class.
* Due to projected policy changes, students are responsible for consulting their advisor prior to making changes in class schedule.
* The MSU Bulletin provides pertinent information for students concerning the Academic Calendar, specific course information including prerequisites, and general discussion of major requirements including regulations of the related college or school. Students are responsible for studying areas of interest in the catalog and asking one of the advisors at the Advising Center questions about any areas of concern.
