Pre-professional Options in Biological Sciences
Students earning a B.S. in Medical Technology or
Microbiology can expect very good employment opportunities. In today's job
market, most students who earn a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences will
need to continue their education in graduate or professional school. There
are a wide variety of options for students who decide to take this path.
Students may go to professional school to become Physicians, Dentists,
Optometrists, Pharmacists, or Veterinarians. Students who go on to Law
school or Business School have excellent prospects because of the growth
of biotechnology and the need for scientifically literate professionals.
Other students may wish to go into Biological or Environmental
Engineering. Still others may choose to become secondary school teachers
