The Department of Geosciences at Mississippi State includes all disciplines devoted to the study of the Earth. Geology deals with the materials, processes, and forces of the solid planet. Meteorology and Climatology study the past and present behavior of the hydrosphere and atmosphere. Geography is the science that investigates human interaction with the world's places and environments. We offer courses and field and laboratory research that lead to both the B.S. and M.S. degrees.
