Mr. Kelly M. Tucker earned a Bachelors of Science degree in 1971 from the University of Alabama with a major in Industrial Management. Upon graduation, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He is a graduate of both the U.S. Army Engineer School and the U.S. Army Chemical School. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staf College. He retired as a Major from the Regular Army in April 1991 with over 20 years active duty serving in various command, staff, and educational assignments in the United States and Asia. Mr. Tucker has over fifteen years primary experience in the areas of industrial hygiene, radiological protection, and OSHA program management. From 1982 to 1985, Mr. Tucker taught nuclear warfare and radiological safety related subjects and was the Deputy Chief of the Radiological Division at the Army Chemical School. He was employed as an industrial hygienist with the State of Mississippi in June 1991 and promoted to supervisor in July 1992. Since 1994 he has served as the Director of the Mississippi State University Center for Safety and Health and as Program Manager of the OSHA 21(d) On-Site Program for Mississippi.
