Course syllabi

Marty Price has been teaching freshman composition and the survey (2000 level) literature classes at MSU since 1999. He holds an M.A. in English from the University of Chicago and an MILS from the University of Michigan. He is a generalist, and states that his aim in his classes is to "provide students with some sense of the richness, beauty, breadth, and depth of thought found throughout the history of English and American literature." He supplements a traditional lecture and discussion classroom technique with extensive on-line notes.
Mr. Price's primary current interests are teaching and effective use of on-line resources. He has devoted some efforts to creative writing, and his poems and short stories have appeared in a variety of obscure and forgotten small magazines.
