This course touches on a number of trends in European and American literature since the end of World War II. The reading list is as follows:

• Ishiguro, A Pale View of Hills
• Spark, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie .

There will be a mid-term test, a final test, and a critical/research paper due at the end of the semester.
