English Romantics |
|
Patrick Creevy |
The course will concentrate chiefly on key works of the great Romantics: Blake, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Byron, Shelley, and Keats. We will pay some attention to the seminal and historically important critical pronouncements these poets have made. But in large part we will be looking at their poems. In the interest of economy, our text this time will simply be the affordable separate volume The Romantic Period from the eighth edition of the Norton Anthology.
