Jennifer Rush
Assistant General Counsel

Jennifer G. Rush is the Assistant General Counsel for Mississippi State University. Ms. Rush joined MSU in November 2004. Prior to joining MSU, she was an attorney in the General Litigation Section of Phelps Dunbar, LLP. She served as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Chip Pickering before attending law school.

Ms. Rush received a B.S. degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1996. She received her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law in 2002, where she served as Executive Editor of the Mississippi College Law Review. She is the author of Remembering the Best Interest of the Child in Child Custody Disputes Between a Natural Parent and a Third Party, 21 Miss. C.L. Rev. 311 (2002).

Ms. Rush is a member of the Mississippi Bar, the American Bar Association and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. She is admitted to practice law before the Mississippi state trial and appellate courts, the federal district courts in Mississippi and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. |
