presentations will be given on the following topics:
Drive to Soldiers Delight Natural Environment
Area
(9AM)
While
driving, a brief introduction to
the Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area will be given.
Arrive to Soldier's Delight
(10AM)
Upon
arrival, group members will have the opportunity to split into groups or
on their own to hike the trails of the
Park.
Along
the way, they will complete the information needed in their notebooks by
visiting the sites on the trails and making observations.
Before breaking for lunch, weather data
will be collected for for climatology completion activity for Maryland
LUNCH, SDNEA Visitor Center Cafeteria,
Maryland
(12:30PM)
Drive to Calvert Cliffs, Calvert County
(1:30PM)
While
driving, a brief introduction to Calvert Cliffs
will be given.
Calvert Cliffs hike
and fossil collecting
(2:30PM)
At conclusion of fossil collecting and
hike, groups will meet at Calvert Cliffs State Park Entrance to discuss
and share findings and observations made along the way.
(4:30PM)
Before breaking for dinner, weather data
will be collected for for climatology completion activity for Maryland
Drive to hotel, Dinner, Time to complete
daily activities in notebooks.
