The Arkansas river valley lies between the Ozark Region and the Ouachita Region. The area is dominated by the Arkansas River which originates in the mountains of Colorado and empties into the Mississippi River. The river has been greatly modified to make it navigable commercially. It a valley that has been changed by running water and is another alluvial region of Arkansas.
