TV station WAAY-31 is located atop Monte Sano Mountain and will be hosting the teachers for a short tour of their station and show the latest equipment including Doppler radar and their storm chaser vehicles.  They will give a short demonstration of how storms are tracked and how communications with the National Weather Service and NOAA provide the up-to-the minute local and national weather conditions.  The station will describe how watches, warnings, statements, and advisories are established and broadcast to prepare the public.  One of our hosts will be Waay-31 Meteorologist Shane Butler.
