day on Konza Prairie Biological Station.
Orientation at headquarters.

observations.

Bison Drive.

Day 3 (Wednesday):
Drive to The Land Institute, an alternative
agriculture research facility started by
Wes
Jackson .
Drive through the Smoky Hills country to the Sternberg Museum in Hays.
Stay in Hays.
Day 4 (Thursday): Drive
to Wildcat Canyon for fossil hunting and geoscience activities.
Go to a
family farm.
Return to
Wildcat Canyon and Castle Rock area to continue fossil hunting and
geoscience
activities.
Return to
Hays for star viewing.
Day 5 (Friday): Go
to a house that is designed to work with the elements to conserve fossil fuel.
Go to the shortgrass prairie
Smoky Vally Ranch.
Go to Scott City and Lake Scott
State Park and the Ogallala outcrops.
Investigate Big Spring at Scott
Lake.
Stay

Day 6 (Saturday): Drive
to Garden City.
Tour Brookover Feed Yard and Finney Game Refuge
