Equipment needs:

- we will need to bring along gold pans, rock hammers, safety goggles, hand lenses, compasses and protractors borrowed from Kelowna Secondary School.  We will also need string, cardboard and weights to transform our protractors into clinometers for use in measuring dip on day 5 of our trip.
- copies of topographic map 82 E/14 from the National Topographic Mapping System
- participants should be prepared for hot weather, possibly some showers and maybe some cool evenings

Participants should bring the following:
    - water
    - sunscreen
    - sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots - some portions will include hikes that will be somewhat physically demanding and those participants with mobility concerns will be somewhat limited in the activities on some days
    - hat
    - insect repellant
    - pen, pencil, paper and clipboard
    - camera
    - binoculars if they have them
    - lunches on some days (we will have access to convenience stores before leaving on most days - and be prepared to pack out your garbage)
