Most Shameful Secret: A long and arguably checquered
career in broadcast radio, beginning with a 1st Class FCC broadcast
engineering license in Pensacola, Florida in 1971, running the gamut
from sales through writing and commercial production to disk jockeying,
and wrapping up with half a dozen years as news director and morning
anchor for a couple of Alabama radio stations.
Second Most Shameful Secret: Paying for undergraduate
education by working summers and the occasional regular semester
as a field archaeologist.
