The second largest student organization at Mississippi State, the Residence Hall Association was formed in 1964 as the Inter-Residence Council. The RHA exists to provide services to all students living in the 14 residence halls. Through individual hall associations, the RHA coordinates services, provides academic and recreational programming, and acts as a voice for the residents. Opportunities abound for residents to get involved and gain experience in hall government while learning leadership skills, developing organizational skills, and serving their fellow residents. Elections are held each year within each hall. The RHA executive offices are located in Herbert Hall. As a non-profit organization, the RHA generates revenue for its services through a variety of projects.
