Foreign Language Requirements
| Before the preliminary examination, the student must satisfy the departmental foreign language requirement. This consists of a reading knowledge of a foreign language appropriate to the student's area of specialization. The studen'ts major professor will evaluate the student's ability to read in the appropriate langauge. The major professor will inform the Graduate Coordinating Committee when the student has satisfied the departmental language requirement. |
