For a Ph.D. degree with a minor in mathematics or statistics, the
student must complete at least 12 graduate hours in the Department of Mathematics and
Statistics. This should include at least two three-hour courses
at the 8000 level or above. All minor professors and minor programs
are subject to the approval of the Graduate Coordinating Committee.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics does not require
comprehensive examinations for the minor in mathematics or statistics.
However, the student must achieve at least a grade of B in each of the
courses included on the minor program.
