Noted textbook author, Dr. Roger Freedman, visited MSU campus in April of 2008
Noted textbook author Dr. Roger Freedman, of the Department of Physics at University of California Santa Barbara, visited the Mississippi State University campus in April of 2008. He is one of the authors of the textbook "University Physics", which is used as the main textbook for PH 2213, PH 2223, and PH 2233. Dr. Freedman, who obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University in 1978, has an avid interest in general aviation, and indeed with his wife flew their own plane from Santa Barbara to KSTF, George M. Bryan Airport, Starkville. He presented the colloquia "The Physics of Flight" on April 16, 2008.
