Starting Thursday June 22, I am the newest addition to a growing and innovative DEMOCRATIC consulting firm in Washington, DC called Winning Connections. Oddly enough, the president of the firm is from Eupora, so I e-mailed him and went through a grueling week of interviews,reference calls, faxes, and e-mails and Friday at 5:23 CST, he called an offered me the job. This just reaffirms my belief that everything happens for a reason- it has taken me a looooong time to find this job, and I intend on representing MSU well!
I also wanted to say a special thank you to the department! I talked about my experience at MSU in the PS department at length in my interviews. I feel like I"m the luckiest person in the world because I was a part of your department. Just like my internship (worked with mostly ivy league students), I'll be working with tons of people who have already admitted that they wonder about "the girl from Mississippi", but I am so excited about this next chapter in my life. I think of you all often, and I am so thankful that God created e-mail so that I can stay in touch with all of you even after I make my move.
