DOUG GOODMAN

Doug Goodman specializes in public administration, and is particularly interested in Executive-Legislative power struggles over budgeting. He holds a PhD and an MS from the University of Utah, and a BA from Brigham Young University. Professor Goodman has published in numerous journals, including Public Administration Review, Public Budgeting and Finance, Political Research Quarterly, Public Personnel Management, and Review of Public Personnel Administration. He is co-editor of a book on the public debate over land use, and presented convention papers on public policy issues.

Professor Goodman teaches government organization and human resources classes in our MPPA and Doctoral programs, as well as Introduction to Public Policy at the undergraduate level. He chairs many of the PhD dissertations in our department, and publishes with our graduate students. Our students have voted him the Outstanding Political Science Professor award on two occasions.
