a graduation ceremony in August.
In May and December, the first ceremony will generally be held on a Friday - the last day
of finals at 7:00 P.M. The second ceremony will be held on Saturday the next day at 10:00 A.M.
The following colleges and schools will attend the first ceremony: Bagley College
of Engineering; College of Veterinary Medicine (1); College of Agriculture & Life Sciences;
School of Human Sciences; College of Forest Resources; and College of Education.
The following colleges and schools will attend the second ceremony: College of
Arts & Sciences; College of Architecture, Art & Design; College of Business and Industry;
and School of Accountancy.
Students who plan to graduate in May, August, or December must apply for graduation by the
dates published in the MSU Academic Calendar. If a student fails to graduate in the term for
which he/she has applied, he/she must reapply during the term when all requirements for the
degree are met. Degree applicants must also pay their MSU account balances in full prior to
the graduation ceremony.
(1) The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) holds a separate ceremony for all its graduates
in May. In December, Master's and PhD degree candidates from CVM may participate in the
