First Generation/Low Income Students
A first-generation student is an individual whose parents have not received bachelor's degrees.
A low-income student is an individual who annual income level meets the federal guidelines established by the U.S.
Census Bureau for determining poverty status. In general, students receiving Pell Grants are frequently eligible for the

FINANCIAL AID
The University administers a full service student aid program through the Department of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.
Aid programs include National Direct Student Loan, Educational Opportunity Grants, Incentive Grants, Academic Scholarships,
Regional Scholarships, and College Work Study Program.
NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
Prior to each semester, the Office of Enrollment Servicesoffers orientation for new and
transferring students. Campus tours are also offered through the Office of Enrollment Services from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday. It is recommended that you contact the SSS office to make an appointment the same day. One day is usually enough
time to visit several offices.
