Active participation in student organizations related to professional career objective is considered a valuable learning experience for students majoring in Information Technology Services. Sponsored by the Department of Instructional Systems, Leadership, and Workforce Development, Phi Beta Lambda is the national student organization for collegiate/post-secondary students pursuing a business or business-related career. Students participating in Phi Beta Lambda are:
- Bringing business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
- Gaining a competitive edge through career exploration, networking with business leaders, and self-improvement, community service, and travel opportunities.
The Nu Phi chapter of Phi
Beta Lambda was established in 1967 at Mississippi State University
and is sponsored by the Department of Instructional
Systems, Leadership & Workforce Development. Dr. Teri Brandenburg
is the chapter advisor. Since its beginning, the Nu Phi chapter boasts
many winners in state and national competitive events and the election
of many state officers. Most importantly, they are prepared to be competent,
aggressive business leaders.
