Admission Requirements: A student applying for admission into the Department of Instructional Systems, Leadership, and Workforce Development (with the exception of students seeking admission into the Educational Leadership program and international students) must submit the complete application packet to the Office of the Graduate School no later than April 1 for Summer I and 10-Week terms, May 1 for Summer II, July 1 for Fall, and November 1 for Spring. An international student must submit the complete application packet to the Office of the Graduate School no later than March 1 for Summer I, II, and 10-Week terms, May 1 for Fall, and September 1 for Spring. Educational Leadership students should refer to specific admission deadlines and dates.

Educational Leadership
The M.S. and Ed.S. programs will admit students for the summer term of each calendar year, and the complete application packet must be received by the departmental graduate coordinator by March 15. The Ph.D. and Ed.D. programs will admit students for the fall term of each calendar year, and the complete application packet must be received by the departmental graduate coordinator by April 15.

Admission to the Program Admission decisions for the graduate degree programs are made by a committee of program faculty that represents each of the specialty areas. In addition to the completed applications packet, students must submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Graduate programs that are the basis for licensure, such as the Education Administrator License, have special entrance requirements. A letter that is sent directly to students informs them of their acceptance into the program in the Department of Instructional Systems, Leadership, and Workforce Development and indicates the faculty advisor they have been assigned. All students are given a faculty advisor at the time of acceptance into the program.
