| Uplink services range from feeding a videotaped program to local television stations to multi-camera teleconferences with two-way video and audio. The Center has staff members who can assist program developers to prepare for the production and technical aspects of putting on a teleconference. Through its fixed and transportable KU-Band uplink and downlink facilities, the Television Center makes available satellite services to serve the needs of virtually any broadcasters, businesses, and industries in the region. Broadcast-quality Sony Betacam SP VCR's can be used for videotape playback, recording, and editing for on-the-spot production. A two-channel Clear Com intercom system provides flexible communications between production crew, engineers, talent, and network personnel. | ||

Along with a four channel IFB, a 16-input stereo Mackie audio board can provide sound support for live feeds or teleconferences. Up to four portable cameras, three of which can be on triax, can be brought into the system, as well as standard tie lines for audio and video from external production trucks or facilities. A frame synchronizer is also included. | |
| The heart of the Television Center's transportable uplink capabilities is the Andrew's 2.4 meter high-gain antenna, which has excellent gain and tight technical specifications that meet all FCC requirements for two-degree spacing. Dual exciters and 300 Watt phase-combined HPA's are provided for reliable operation. A Grass Valley 100 switcher, stereo audio board, and Grass Valley distribution and routing equipment provide high quality and reliable processing of video and audio signals. | ||
