About this event

So many natural materials can be found at the Crosby Arboretum that will make interesting impressions! Children will walk the pathways to collect plants and dried material and work with self-hardening clay to create lasting memories in this fun family workshop with Crosby Arboretum Director Pat Drackett. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The materials fee is $5 per child for members’ children and $6 for non-members’ children. There is no charge for adults. With increasing value being placed on our natural heritage, the Crosby Arboretum in Picayune is the premier native plant conservatory in the Southeast. The arboretum was established as a living memorial to L.O. Crosby Jr. (1907-1978) and has expanded to become a resource for education in the region and the world. Today, it provides for the protection of the region's biological diversity and serves as a place for the public's enjoyment of plant species native to the Pearl River Drainage Basin of south-central Mississippi and Louisiana.
