#MSUDawgDaze: @ShackoulsHonors 'Phaedra' Auditions for Returning Students

August 17, 2016
6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

About this event

For the fifth consecutive year, Mississippi State's Judy and Bobby Shackouls Honors College is sponsoring an outdoor performance as part of its September Classical Week celebration. This year’s rarely produced play is "Phaedra," a Roman tragedy by Seneca. Auditions for the play are open to all MSU students with or without acting, dance, music or backstage experience. No preparation is needed. The director will have students read from the script and fill out an audition form. All students are encouraged to stop by and meet the director and other new and returning students during these auditions. A one-hour directed study credit may be awarded for a major role or contribution to the production. Rehearsals begin immediately with performances scheduled for the last week of September.
