Rhetorical Analysis

September 29, 2016
1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

About this event

Ethos is the author’s credibility, logos is his or her use of facts and logic, and pathos is the author’s appeal to the audience’s emotions. How can I use that knowledge? How can I really analyze a text’s rhetorical appeals? If you struggle in your fight with the ethos-logos-pathos beast or simply want to be an even better writer, come to our seminar. Together, we will practice reading and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of a text’s appeals to logic, credibility and emotions. Be sure to bring a text (or texts) that you are analyzing for your English Composition I class.
