MSU Hunger Banquet and Stop Hunger Now Event

About this event

The Center for the Advancement of Service-Learning Excellence (CASLE) and the Maroon Volunteer Center are partnering to host a Mississippi State University Hunger Banquet and Stop Hunger Now event. The MSU Hunger Banquet hopes to enlighten participants on the food insecurity that exists in Mississippi and provoke thoughtful conversation about what can be done to help alleviate these conditions. Students will draw a number as they arrive that will assign them a socioeconomic status and give them instructions on where to sit. Immediately following the Hunger Banquet, Stop Hunger Now Mississippi Program Manager Pat Ware will give students an orientation on how and why meal packing is so important. Students then will work together to assemble meal packets that will be boxed and shipped to those in need in the U.S. and abroad. Click the "Link" below for more information.
