'Blood, Sweat & Tears' at MSU Riley Center

About this event

The latest version of the pioneering rock-jazz band Blood, Sweat & Tears features all new musicians since the band's 1960s-'70s heyday, including lead singer Bo Bice. That's by design. Original drummer and trademark owner Bobby Colomby says that, like the owner of a baseball team, he continually refreshes the lineup with "brilliant musicians, singers, songs and arrangements." Bice, runner-up to country singer Carrie Underwood on the American Idol TV talent show in 2005, adds a bit of Southern rock twang. His rich voice complements the jazzy horns, and his smiling stage presence is winning fans who weren't even born when "Spinning Wheel," "And When I Die" and "You've Made Me So Very Happy" were hits. As a bonus, concertgoers can enjoy a pre-show party with refreshments in the Grand Lobby starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online, by phone or in person at the MSU Riley Center Box Office.
