Gift of Life Marrow Registry is a national nonprofit with a simple mission: A Match. Anytime. Anywhere. Our on-campus organization focuses on swabbing as many people as possible to add to the national bone marrow registry in order to cure blood cancer. In celebration of the MSU women's basketball team's NCAA Tournament success, Gift of Life at MSU is hosting a Match Madness Drive on the university's Drill Field. In the case of rain, we will relocate to McCool Hall. We will have free Krispy Kreme donuts and free T-shirts, so come visit our table on the Drill Field and learn how you can help save lives! 70 percent of people in need of a bone marrow transplant have to go outside of their family to find a match. By entering the registry, you are potentially saving the life of someone with Leukemia, Lymphoma, or other blood disorders. Less than 1 percent of people who join the registry are able to donate. For those 1 percent, most just donate blood.
