'PERS on the Move'

About this event

Current Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi (PERS) participants may register for one of two "PERS on the Move" workshops that will be held in Trotter Seminar Room at Mississippi State's Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems. Employees may choose from a 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 - 4:00 p.m timeslot. Participants will learn more about significant PERS changes effective July 1, 2017, as well as important plan details to assist with future planning. Deferred Compensation representative(s) also will be available during the workshop to provide information about voluntary retirement plan participation. Click the "Link" below to register. Next, enter your MSU NetID and password. Under the "My Community" tab (near the top in the dark blue bar), click on "Learning Library." Click on "PERS on the Move" and read the course detail. Click on "Select a timeslot" directly below the course detail. Scroll down and click on the little circle to the left of the morning or afternoon session that you would like to attend and confirm by clicking "Book."

The "PERS on the Move" workshop is appropriate for benefits-eligible employees interested in launching their retirement planning strategy. "PERS on the Move" does not provide individual retirement counseling; however, those interested receiving one-on-one engagement about their retirement plans may schedule an appointment with the MSU Benefits Office by calling 662-325-3713.
