About this event

According to recent research published in Men’s Health Network, on average, American men live shorter and less-healthy lives than American women. However, many of the chronic diseases that plague men’s health are often preventable. The Myrlie Evers-Williams Institute for the Elimination of Health Disparities at University of Mississippi Medical Center developed "Sports for Life" to encourage men to become more actively involved in their health care. This year, the institute is collaborating with Mississippi State University to provide free health screenings and health promotion activities at Trustmark Park during the annual Governor's Cup baseball game between MSU and Ole Miss. One small step can make a huge difference, so come visit our booth near the Farm Bureau Grill and learn preventive measures for a healthy lifestyle!
