#HailStateEclipse Presentation: 'Chasing Shadows: Understanding the Great American Solar Eclipse of 2017'

Donna M. Pierce, Mississippi State associate professor of physics and astronomy, is giving a public presentation in advance of the upcoming solar eclipse. Free to all, her presentation is taking place in McCool Hall's first-floor Rogers Auditorium. It also will be available live at www.facebook.com/EastMissNWAAMS. On Aug. 21, the Starkville area will experience an 89 percent partial eclipse, while a 70-mile-wide area that spans the U.S. will experience a total eclipse during the early afternoon hours. MSU is hosting an Aug. 21 viewing event from noon-3 p.m. on the university's historic Drill Field. Click the "Link" below for more information.
