Sponsored by Mississippi State's College of Architecture, Art and Design and its School of Architecture, the Harrison Lecture Series continues with an afternoon presentation by Christopher Scott "Chris" Hunter, an architecture doctoral student at Texas A&M University. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Hunter holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati and Master of Science in Architecture from Texas A&M University. As a Ph.D. student, his research focus is the study of the design and construction influences upon early African-American church buildings in the United States constructed between 1800 and 1920. Hunter has nearly 30 years of professional experience working as a project architect and project manager on a number of large scale projects (mixed use and retail development, hospitality design, health care, civic and municipal, higher education, historic preservation, master planning, community development) for design firms in Dallas, Texas.
