2017 PARK(ing) Day

The Mississippi State University Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects is hosting a PARK(ing) Day event during Bulldog Bash’s Maroon Market on the south side of Main Street in downtown Starkville between Washington and Lafayette streets in booths 11, 12 and 13. PARK(ing) Day showcases how landscape architects design areas as small as a parking spot to bring people together and demonstrate the value of public space. Last year, parklets across the country demonstrated how designers can change even small areas into spaces to exercise, relax or make a social statement.
