Area Commanders,
   Here is some info for anyone interested in being Webmaster. I haven't heard 
any interest but if you know of someone who would like to apply let me know. 
If you need an extension I'll see what I can do. The new application for the 
AAS/SW Webmaster position is listed below and
is posted on the AAS website.  Please inform your squadrons ASAP as the
deadline for applications is 15 March.

Applications for AAS/SW Webmaster (Fall 2001-Spring 2002) Now Being Accepted

Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings are looking for the 2001-2002 National
Webmaster!  The National Webmaster is the person who is primarily
responsible for providing, updating, and maintaining the AAS and SW National
Web Sites in conjunction with the AAS and SW National Staffs and the
National Administrative Consultant for Internet Communications (NAC/IC).
This position is held for a one-year term.

All active members in good standing with web development and design
experience may apply.  Please send application materials (listed below) and
any questions to both the AAS National Commander at natl-cc@arnold-air.org,
and the SW National President at sw-pres@arnold-air.org.  The deadline for
applications is 15 March 2001 at 2400 hours Pacific time.

The complete position description for the National Webmaster can be found in
AASMAN-1, paragraph 8.12, and in SWM-1, paragraph 5-4.  The following
materials are required in your application to fill out the remainder of this
year's term:

1.  A letter describing you qualifications, decorations, and experience in
AFROTC and AAS/SW. Specific reference to your experience in web site design
and maintenance is mandatory.
2.  Your goals for the AAS and SW web sites.
3.  A listing of web sites you developed and/or maintain(ed). Indicate the
role you played in these sites.
4.  Indicate the web site development tools you have experience with.
5.  At most, three letters of recommendation.

AAS and SW National Headquarters will jointly select the next National
Webmaster, who will be expected to begin performing in his or her new
position after NATCON.  The winner will be selected by 30 March 2001.
