afrotc-l: lecture on Iraq

Cadets,

The following is an event that is taking place on campus, Thursday, 3 Oct 02.  I suggest that everyone try to attend this lecture.  Richard M. Mills, political advisor to the US mission at the United Nations, will be addressing the role of the U.S., the UN, and Iraq in the upcoming months.  It is imperative, as cadets and future Air Force officers, that you stay on top of current events and understand what is going on in the world around you.

Very Respectfully,

Jennifer L. Phillips, C/Maj, AFROTC                                                          Logisitics Squadron Two Commander, LSQ2/CC

>Political Advisor Mills Speaks about Iraq

>The Political Advisor at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, Richard M. Mills will speak about, "The U.N., the U.S., and Iraq: What Next?" at 3 PM on Thursday, October 3 in the John Grisham Room of the MSU library. His speech is quite timely, since the issue of Iraq is on the U.S. Congress' agenda as well as the world's.
>Mr. Mills has been a member of the U.S. foreign service since 1988. He has served the United States in its missions in France, Russia, and Ireland. His current position as Political Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to the UN involves him heavily in assisting in shaping U.S. policy concerning UN Security Council issues.
>This event is open to the public, and students are invited to attend.
