This is to all cadets: READ! I commend Tiger Team for their efforts in cleaning the Det once a week. However, cleaning up after yourself is an everyday responsibility. This evening after everyone had left for the day, I walked around the cadet offices and lounge and was appauled at the amount of litter and garbage lying around. I found many office supplies not properly returned to thier appropriate location. Reflectors were everywhere. Drink cups and snack wrappers were all over the floor. even text books were just left on tables. Umbrellas just laying around. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. THIS IS NOT YOUR DORM/APARTMENT. THIS IS A BUILDING THAT TRAINS PROFESIONAL MILITARY LEADERS. TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR DETACHMENT. WHEN VISITORS COME, THE CADET AREA IS THE MAIN AREA THEY SEE. NOT ONLY VISITORS, BUT YOU. DO REALLY WANT TO WORK IN A ROOM THAT LOOKS LIKE CRAP? PROFESSIONALS DO NOT. OFFICERS DO NOT. If you use a stapler, return it to the supply desk (the one the phone is on). If you read a Reflector, take it with you or throw it away (preferably in a newspaper recycle bag). If you have homework, DO NOT leave it in the computer room. DO NOT EAT OR DRINK IN THE COMPUTER ROOM. Throw your trash in the garbage, not on the floor. Place aluminum cans in the recycle bin. Do not place trash in the can bin. Put cleaning supplies back in the bathroom. Place your chairs back under the table. There is a pile of crap in the cadet offices. Come by and see if any of it belongs to you. If you continue to litter the Det, you damage your own integrity. You hurt the Corps' image. You hurt the cadre's image. Remember that the Core Values are in full effect.
