afrotc-l: AS 200 Field Training Prep

AS 200's,
     I have sat back and observed how we are doing for quite a while and feel 
like it is now time for me to voice my opinion on our performance this 
semester.  In three words, we need to "Step It Up".  We are being out numbered 
and out done at everything we do by the AS 100's.  Yes, I am aware that there 
are more of them than of us.  This, however, is not an acceptable excuse.  We 
are supposed to be getting ready for Field Training this summer and what we 
have done thus far will not cut it.  Lead Lab does get us ready by itself.  
Granted, it touches on every aspect of Field Training Prep, lead lab is not 
enough.  Just going to lead lab alone will not guarantee you a Field Training 
slot.  I will say that again.  JUST GOING TO LEAD LAB ALONE WILL NOT GUARANTEE 
YOU A FIELD TRAINING SLOT!!!!!  I will remind everyone of an announcement made 
not too long ago, that if you do not recieve a field training slot this summer, 
there is a good chance that you will have to leave the program.  Going to field 
training is now very competitive and is not guaranteed.  I will say that 
again.  FIELD TRAINING IS NOW VERY COMPETITIVE AND IS NOT IS NOT IS NOT 
GUARANTEED!!!!!  There are ways to get involved and prepare for what we have to 
do this summer.  Take advantage of those ways (PT, Colorguard, Blue Knights, 
and AAS).  These organizations can only help you.  They will all in some way 
teach you something about the Air Force and how to be a better officer.  This e-
mail is not aimed at a specific person.  This e-mail is aimed to the AS 200's 
as a group.  Like I said at Blue Knights, we are a team.  Let's motivate each 
other to do the best we can.  It is game time.  FIELD TRAINING!!!!!
