afrotc-l: Operations Order 07 January 2003

425th Cadet Training Wing,

Welcome back to school! I hope that everyone is ready for a new semester of classes and a AFROTC semester full of valuable, rewarding training.  The tempo for this semester will be fast, and I hope that everyone is ready to give this detachment and themselves 100% effort, 100% of the time.  FTP cadets - be prepared to TRAIN for Field Training this year.  If you haven't been going to gym everyday over the Break - I suggest you start now.  The first practice PFT will be Friday morning at 0600 hrs.  You will be there.  GMC Cadets - I challenge you to work this semester to improve your overall understanding of the Air Force mission, the basic concepts and ideas you need to know in preparation for becoming an officer in the United States Air Force, and your physical fitness and endurance.  There is never any such thing as good enough, and I never want anyone to say "I have better things to do."  Upon successful completion of this AFROTC training program, be it 4 or 3 years, you will be an officer in the United States Air Force - you don't have anything better to do.  Go to school, get outstanding grades.  Go to the gym - improve your physical fitness.  Come to LLab - get the skills you will need on active duty.
Finally, all GMC/FTP look at your schedules and figure out times that you can meet for flight meetings.  There will be a punishment for missing flight meeting this semester.  Your first flight meeting needs to happen before LLab on 14 Jan.  I don't want Tuesday to be the first time you think about this.
