afrotc-l: Safety

Welcome back to MSU everyone.  I am the Saftey Officer for Det 425 for the Spring semester 2003.  I have a few safety guidlines that I highly recommend everyone follow.  First make sure that you keep your self in shape.  I.E. drink PLENTY of WATER and establish a regular workout plan.  I highly encourage everyone to go workout every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Sanderson Center.  Also make sure that you stretch before you workout or else you run the risk of pulling a muscle or tearing something.  And remeber to TUCK IN THOSE SHOELACES.  I do not want to see any shoelaces  Safety is the NUMBER 1 PRIORITY this semester!!  If you get hurt this semester in could seriously hinder your chances of going to Field Training this summer and/or hurt you R.O.T.C. future.  Make sure that you use situational awareness at all times, even when you are not in the R.O.T.C. environment.  If It is DUMB, DIFFERENT, or DANGEROUS do not do it!!!! Thank you for your time and I hope that everyone has an awesome semester!!

C/Capt. Eric M. Shirley
Safety Officer Det. 425
